How can I get physically comfortable enough to focus on my program?

During the process of building new neural circuits, along with the decline of others, emotional issues and confusion may temporarily surface as the brain stalls on employing new habits in an effort to conserve the energy it would take to form new habits and neural connections. It is very possible that old emotions will appear, and sometimes these may even manifest in the body as physical discomfort, or pain. This is temporary.  We suggest healthy levels of stretching and/or yoga to build a strong mind-body connection and nurture yourself as you go through this process.  Go into your physical or emotional discomfort; experience it mindfully, and allow it to pass through and away from you.
